Action on Bridle Road Black-Spot

Petition to Croydon Council calling for urgent action on major accident black-spot heading from the bend in Bridle Road, outside All Saints Church.

Question Title

Five major accidents have occurred this year alone, with numerous others over the past 20 years, with excessive speed believed to be a significant factor, putting the lives of pedestrians and other motorists at risk of serious injury and death.

* 1. We the undersigned call on Croydon Council to recognise the frequency and severity of these events and the significant risks they continue to pose of serious injury or death to residents, pedestrians, cyclists and other motorists and demand that the Council takes urgent steps to:

- Review the circumstances under which these events occurred
- Identify and evaluate interim and permanent corrective actions to address the underlying causes
- Make a commitment to deliver appropriate actions in a meaningful timescale
