Building a Creative Markham

 

Before we proceed with our survey, below is some information about what we are trying to accomplish.

The Town of Markham’s Culture Department is constructing a 10 year plan entitled “Building a Creative Markham”. The Plan is meant to enhance and promote cultural activity and creative expression in our community.

Why does this plan matter to you?

• you are interested in music, art, dance, writing, theatre or heritage
• you work in a creative industry
• you have visited Markham Museum, the Markham Theatre, or the Varley Art Gallery
• you believe that culture and community health are interrelated
• you have ideas and would like to contribute to the future of our town
• you work or live in the Town of Markham
• and most important – you believe in improving cultural opportunities within the Town of Markham

The plan will be submitted to Council in the Spring of 2012.
